The first directly curated container from Ethiopia has arrived at our roastery! This year, we visited multiple farms, searching for sweet, floral, and delicate coffees. From over 100 coffees cupped, we curated four Ethiopian lots, processed both naturally and washed. One of these standout lots is Ethiopia Benti Halo, memorable for its floral flavor profile and delicate texture.
FLAVOR PROFILE
In the cup, you'll identify floral notes, accompanied by hazelnuts and cocoa. The light, juicy body, silky texture, and the medium-high acidity are harmoniously integrated in the coffee’s profile. The sensory experience is completed by the long, sweet and pleasant aftertaste.

ROASTING PROFILE
With 100 bags in our roastery, we developed a roasting profile for filter. The medium roast level aims to preserve the natural quality of the bean - clean, sweet, and complex. The precision for the desired profile is obtained through daily practice and advanced roasting technology - Loring Smart Roaster.
GREEN COFFEE INFORMATION
The cherries that make up this lot come from the Benti Halo washing station, located in the Gedeo Zone, Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia. These cherries are sourced from multiple small producers, growing at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,200 meters.
The washing station was founded by a group of passionate smallholder farmers, committed to producing exceptional coffees while maintaining sustainable practices.
Over the years, Benti Halo has gained recognition for its commitment to quality and its efforts to improve farmers' lives through fair trade practices and community development projects. The cooperative’s name, 'Benti Halo', is derived from the local language, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and deep connection to the land.
We are grateful for these sustainable practices and excited to share with our community the exceptional, delicate, and fruity Ethiopian lots we source year after year.
